Pentagram.

A pentagram(sometimes known as a pentalpha or pentangle or, more formally, as a star pentagon)is the shape of a five –pointed star drawn with five straight strokes.

 

The word pentagram comes from the Greek word πεντάγραμμον (pentagrammon),
In human history, the pentagram first originated from the observations of Venus by prehistoric astronomers. When viewed from Earth, successive inferiorconjunctions of Venus plot a regular pentagram shape around the Sun through the zodiac returning to the same point every eight years. In the planet Venus's mapping of the pentagram through the heavens, it continuously makes ametamorphosis from Morning Star to Evening Star to Morning Star etc.



And Satan is known as a the Morning star. The pentagram has thus long been associated with the planet Venus, and the worship of the goddess Venus, or her equivalent in early cultures.

Venus is also associated with the Roman word LUCIFER, SATAN, DEVIL, the term used for Venus as the Morning Star, which was known as the bringer of light and knowledge.
Pentagrams were used symbolically in ancient Greece and Babylonia, and are used today as a symbol of faith by many Wiccans, what is Wiccans, Wiccan is witchcraft.

The pentagram has magical associations, and many people who practice Neo pagan faiths wear jewelry incorporating the symbol. And it also has associations within Freemasonry.

NEO PAGANISM & WICCANS;
Many  Neo pagans, especially Wiccans, use the pentagram as a symbol of faith the opposite of God.

Its religious symbolism is commonly explained by reference to the neo- Pythagoreanunder standing that the five vertices of the pentagram represent the four elements with the addition of Spirit as the uppermost point. As are presentation of the elements, the pentagram is involved in the Wiccan practice of summoning the elemental spirits of the four directions at the beginning of a ritual.

The Neo pagan pentagram is generally displayed with one point up, partly because of the"inverted" goat's head pentagram's association with Satanism;however, within traditional forms of wicca a pentagram with two points up is associated with the Second Degree Initiation and in this context has a relation to Satanism.

Satanistsuse a pentagram with two points up, often inscribed in a double circle, with the head of a goat inside the pentagram. This is referred to as the Sigil of Baphomet.

They use it much the same way as the Pythagoreans, as Tartaros literally translates from Greek as a "Pit" or "Void" in Christian terminology (the word is used as such in the Bible, referring to the place where the fallen angels are fettered).

The Pythagorean Greek letters are most often replaced by the Hebrew letters לויתן forming the name Leviathan. Lessesoteric La Veyan Satanists use it as a sign of rebellion or religious identification, the three downward points symbolising rejection of the holy Trinity.

History
The Churchof Satan was established in San Francisco, California, on Walpurgis night April30, 1966, by Anton Szandor LaVey, who was the Church's High Priest until hisdeath in 1997.

 

 





In the 1950sAnton LaVey formed a group called the Order of the Trapezoid, which later evolved into the governing body of the Church of Satan. 

 

The mostimportant group with roots in the Church of Satan is the Temple of Set, headedby Michael A. Aquino, which has developed a new theology based on theidentification of Satan with the ancient Egyptian god Set.

Due to the popular use of satanic symbols such as the pentagram we see them everywhere, in the music industry, on fashion clothing, in the media, used in political logos during
 campaigns, throughoutthe Hollywood industry and sadly on some churches.

Disturbingas it may seem allot of the symbols used are not recognised for their originaland sinister function therefore it makes secular society vulnerable to satanic attacks, especially on the young.

Just recently I saw a Christian child wearing the opitomy of a satanic pentagram,when I approached the child’s parents they were totally unaware of the dangers and real meaning behind the symbols.

In the bible we are told that many perish through lack of knowledge therefore we need to be more vigilant about our Christian faith and doctrine so that we can be prepared for the satanic attacks that is trying to destroy Christ’s Church.
